S2 Dynamic Earth Report Write Up
Minimum of 6 pages in your jotter, keep it neat!
There is no maximum number of pages.
1) Write up the information from sheets 2 and 3 on runny and explosive volcanoes. Include diagrams of each volcano and its rock type.
2) Write up what you found out whilst going through the galleries. This can be done as a paragraph with sketches or a series of mind maps with a picture of the gallery in the middle and facts around the outside. Use sheet 5,6 and 7 to help you
3) Write a summary to end your report saying what you enjoyed, which the best bit was, which parts were less interesting and how the trip could be improved.
Remember it is due for homework for 28.03.08

A UN summit has recently been held in Bali. It has been agreed that we urgently need to curb the damage being done to the planet. Scientists have stated that climate change is happening faster than ever imagined. We are 90% sure that human activity is the main contributor to climate change.
We need to get the message across to everyone that action on climate change must be taken.
To do this you must prepare one of the following:
• A booklet to be issued to all UK households by post.
• A poster to be displayed in all public places.
• A PowerPoint to be used by schools in lessons and assemblies.
You can either:
• Work individually
• In a pair
• As a group (MAXIMUM OF 4 PEOPLE)
You MUST include:
1. Hard hitting title, facts and figures.
2. Explain how human activity is causing climate change.
- Use diagrams/cartoons.
3. Describe and explain the consequences of climate change.
4. What can we do at all levels in society?
- The Governments of Countries.
- Local Councils – Towns/Villages
- Organisations like schools.
- Individuals
- Come up with some simple and practical solutions.
REMEMBER – This is more than a piece of work in school, CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL.
